Well here's the moment I've been dreading, the before picture. Generally I'm pretty good at hiding how big I am with what I wear, It's something that most fat people tend to learn pretty quick. Not wearing stripes, wearing dark colors, layering clothes to hide rolls.... Hiding fat is a multi-million dollar industry, just watch the shopping channel sometime or any late night infomercials, every other commercial is practically trying to sell you something to hide your fat. So that's why when I tell people I weigh 300lbs (Yeah you read that right) they don't usually believe me....or everyone was just way too nice to tell me I've become Jabba the Hut!
This is how I feel right now...But with nicer Clothes
I visited my doctor last week and went for my first physical ....EVER! I know, I'm a terrible person, the important thing is that it really opened my eyes. You know the expression "my body is a temple" well apparently my body is a Temple of Doom! My doctor kindly informed me that my blood pressure is 140/100, apparently that's bad.......real bad. I've also got a liver that looks like Charlie Sheen went on a drinking binge and apparently I've also got Gout. Which if left untreated can lead to something similar to kidney stones.
An eye awakening indeed...So without rambling on to much more I'm posting my before picture. This was not something that was easy to do but I figured I'm in this all the way or else what's the point of this entire blog. Please be Kind!
Bring me Solo and the Wookiee! WHA! WHA! WHA!
So that's me, all 300lbs of me. For some who haven't seen me in a while this picture might surprise a few of you. It even surprised me and I have to look at my self everyday. What I'm going to do is take a picture every week of myself and at the end when I've completed my goal I'll put them all together into a collage video so that everyone can see the progress all at once!
That's about all I got for today. I'd like to thank everyone who has been visiting my blog, the response and traffic here has surpassed what I could have ever expected. Thank you everyone for your support! Please keep comming back and don't forget to leave a comment Below!

You conquer everything you've ever set your mind to. You will surpass even your own expectations this time.
ReplyDeleteRemember to celebrate even the small accomplishments throughout this journey.
I will be here for EVERY part of this if you should need me!
Love you wingman *hugs*
Great first steps Dave! Wingwoman has it right, it's about the small accomplishments that add up over time.
ReplyDeleteI forget if I asked you this already, but do you have a plan of action yet? I don't know what your current food/drink intake looks like but my suggestion for your first goal would be to drink more water and to stop drinking any pop/sugary drinks completely. That alone will make a big difference in both your weight loss goals and overall feeling of health.
You can do it!!!
Thank you all for your support!
ReplyDeleteTab, I do have a plan...Water is definitely happening already but you will have to stay tuned to my blog to find out my plan!
